A 46-year-old Clarion woman is facing aggravated assault charges after allegedly attacking a paramedic who was trying to treat her following an apartment fire.
ExploreClarion.Com reports, Heather Marie Garrett initially refused to leave her smoke-filled apartment on East Main Street during the June 10 incident. After being evacuated, she refused medical treatment and allegedly assaulted a paramedic who tried to explain the risks. Officers reported visible injuries on the paramedic’s arm.
Garrett was jailed on $10,000 bail and faces felony and misdemeanor charges. A preliminary hearing is set for June 24.
