A Clearfield County woman has been charged after police said she trespassed onto a residence and took two cats.
Heather Hoover, 49, president of Animals Matter of Clearfield County, is accused of entering a property on July 11 without permission and removing the animals, according to a criminal complaint. Hoover told police she trapped the cats because she believed they were sick and refused to return them.
Hoover faces misdemeanor charges of trespass, theft and loitering. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 11.
